Electronic Enclosures

Custom electronic enclosures: openings, mounting points, snap fits and cosmetic surfaces. DFM and molding support.

Electronic enclosure manufacturing

Custom plastic housings for electronics projects. The enclosure is not just a box: openings, mounting points, mating parts and the appearance all affect the tool and the assembly.

Enclosure types

  • Handheld — grips, battery doors, buttons and light pipes.
  • Desktop — top/bottom covers, bezels and connector openings.
  • Wall-mount — mounting bosses, keyhole slots and cable exits.
  • DIN-rail / control — panel parts, terminal covers and clips.

Design details that matter

  • Draft and wall thickness for molding
  • Snap fits, screws and assembly tolerances
  • Openings for connectors, displays and ventilation
  • Gasket grooves and sealing surfaces
  • EMI shielding, grounding points and gaskets are designed into the tool
  • Cosmetic surfaces, texture and color

Materials and finishes

ABS, PC, PC/ABS and TPU are common for enclosures. The choice depends on impact, heat, flame requirements and appearance. See material notes →

Process

  1. Share the enclosure drawing, quantity and target date.
  2. Review DFM, assembly interfaces and cosmetic requirements.
  3. Tooling and T1 samples.
  4. Production and inspection.

FAQ

Can you work from a 3D file only?

Yes. A STEP or STL file is enough to start; 2D drawings help with critical dimensions and tolerances.

Can you match a specific color or texture?

Color matching and texture are built into the tool. Send a sample or a reference and we match it at T1.

Have a drawing or a target price?

Send the file and the quantity. We will reply with a DFM note and a quote, not a sales deck.
